Describe your childhood home. When was the last time you saw it?

I didn't have a singular home as a child, but I suppose the most appropriate to call my childhood home would be the one my family lived in when I was about 4. Lived in Bristol, England in a semi-detached 2-storey house. It was quaint, but it was home :)

hell

okay, so the place was nice enough, it was my treatment that made it difficult to live their.

actually, I don't live too far from it. of course, new people are their now and I've not seen it in years, not even sure I'd want too (I have enough memories of abuse without seeing it)

a lot of places I visited as a child have been closed down, or changed in to something else

I guess it happens

I last saw it in 1967 when I left for England. To my knowledge, the house is no longer there.

The thought of my childhood home no longer existing some day makes me feel sad and depressed. :(

I'm there now.

I was a Gypsy child, don't recall one particular place. I mostly remember summers at grandparents' walking down to the beach barefoot and fishing with my grandpa.

Have you only lived in one house your whole life?

Same here, moved so many times in my life I can't even keep track of how many places I've lived.

1st my family lived at my grandmom's, then an apartment for a year, then lastly here in 1987.

Not the "ideal" situation by any means; but looking back, I think that growing up under those conditions is not all bad either. Definitely a first-hand lesson in adaptability, independence & 'rolling with the punches'.

Sounds like maybe we were both what's called "latchkey children".

Yup! I pretty much had no rules and could do whatever I wanted / whenever I wanted because there wasn't anyone around to tell me 'no'

*looks around* Looks the same as it has the past 47 years.... ...yeah, only now I own the freaking place. Hooray mortgages!

I see my childhood home every day when I go to work and come home. I live a house over from it. The house was built in the early 80's by my grandfather.

I was 4 when my mother sold the house and moved, after she divorced my father. The house has changed owners over a span of 30 years. It used to be really nice, but it looks like it could use some work done to it.

Too many to count. I don't really remember the home we lived in during the first few years of my life. I remember a little more when we lived in Costa Mesa and definitely remember the apartment in HB. Right around 6-7 years of age is when my memory becomes most clear.
