What is something that happened in your childhood that you didn't understand until years later?

My parents divorce. I just kind of went along with what happened because I didn't understand why they were fighting or why we were going to live in our separate places. All I really remember is that things changed and we were just going to dad's house that weekend and then back to mom's for school. And when we moved out of California, I got pretty angry about not being able to see my dad all the time. I'm still pretty resentful about it now, but not toward my mom or dad, mainly just about the situation in general.
