Olympic athletes sacrifice a lot to reach the highest levels of their sports. Would you encourage your children to pursue a sporting career and aim for the Olympic Games?

If that's what they really, truly wanted, yes I would. But I would NOT be one of those overbearing parents that wouldn't let them eat food that didn't conform to a certain diet or having to train 8 hours a day...no chance. Be happy with what you do, don't turn it into a job as a child.

I would encourage my kid to do anything they wanted to do as long as it wasn't harmful or bad for her. Highly doubt she'd ever want to be an olympian though. :P
