I don’t think there’s much left to truly invent in cooking since it’s always based, in some way, on the ingredients we use, whether by mixing recipes or using cooking methods from different cuisines. Over the years, I’ve done things differently with recipes, changing them to suit my needs or preferences. Some of those changes might seem new, but I’ve noticed trends where people make something similar, give it a name, and act like it’s completely original, even though it’s probably been done by others for ages.
So, while I wouldn’t say I’ve invented recipes, I’ve definitely created variations that work for me. There’s a lot to discuss about how ideas in cooking evolve, but I’ll leave it here for now
