Humanity sucks. Humans are the worst and most vicious animals on this planet. Other animals kill for food. Humans kill for sports, fun, out of revenge, etc.
As for the event, I'm gonna say my early childhood. It gave me an excellent insight into the human nature, which continues to prove itself correct on a daily basis.
