Your voice

I speak softly and with a Southern accent. I live in the North now and have for many years but I have never been able to get rid of my horrible Southern accent. Picked up the Southern accent when my dad was stationed in Mississippi. It's was the longest stay in one place and no matter how hard I try, I still can't get rid of the accent.

The minute I open my mouth and speak, I always hear "You're not from around here. Where are you from." I so want to say 'Uranus' but I don't think they'd pick up on what I mean by it.

Why would you want to get rid of your accent?
I would think a soft southern accent would be nice

I'm just so tired of hearing:

It also makes me feel like an outsider. Kind of hard to explain it as you'd have to live where I do to appreciate why I hate the accent.

I don't have much of a southern accent, despite living in "the south." (We're not really hardcore southerns down here, but we're southern enough for us to at least have a pretty recognizable accent. )

Nobody has really gotten on my case about it. As long as I say "ya'll," people assume I've lived in the "south" all my life. :P

I have a fairly average male speaking voice that comes in somewhere in the baritone range that, with some effort, I can still get to register back to my radio days of saying stuff like.....

"Thank you and now we have this morning's look at last night's sports. Typical outing for the Sixers as they dropped another one in the waning minutes against Portland......"

EVERYONE always tells me I am Not from Norfolk. But I was born and bred here, My parents however are from Sheffield so my accent is a mix of North and Norfolk :D

I tend to have quite a loud voice too, which gets louder when I drink.........Maybe it is because I am a bit deaf

I don't think I have a different Spanish accent from other Costa Ricans. But I know my voice now isn't the same as back in 2011-12.

My voice is pretty much second tenor when I'm talking at my normal talking voice. My low notes and ranges are ironically not as strong as they used to be.

I have a deeper voice, and I think I am an eloquent speaker, I don't know, people say that I have the "perfect" voice for reviews. Whatever that means. *shrugs*

I'm assuming your voice is deep enough to be relatively assertive? :P

I'm unsure. Perhaps? I do videos, although not lately, maybe when I start up, someone will point that out.

Heheh I have been told I have the voice of an angel .. until I start singing, cause thats where everything starts to go bad lol XD
