For some reason i cant even begin to think how to make one. How do i make a file (containing images) a .zip file to upload to a forum?

Grab a program, such as WinRAR. You can download it from here: http://www.rarlab.com/





To create a file with WinRAR, first select all of the files you want to add. Then, right-click the files and select Add to archive….

When the WinRAR window appears, make sure you select the ZIP archive format.

Press OK and a .zip file will be created in the same directory.

Ah ok thanks, now if i where to upload it to like Off Topix how would i do so?

Go to advanced on a post, scroll down, and there is a button that says Attach Files.



Here are the valid files for attaching to a post:



bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip

Click Go Advanced. It's below the submit reply button. In a section called Additional Options.

Select the files you'd like to zip, right click, go to Send To, and then Compressed Folder.

That it is. I like winRAR because I use RAR files. That way, I can password protect them. It's also more possible to recover corrupt RAR files, in my experience.

If i use winrar can some one unzip the files using cam-unzip or another program?

You can unzip them yourself.

I'm pretty sure you need some RAR program to unrar RAR files. All computers can unzip.

Ok good i only use .zip files because at the site i post them RARing isnt popular.
