When a parent asks "What are your intentions with our daughter?" to their daughter's boyfriend (or potential boyfriend), what is the correct answer?

What should you never say?

To treat her well enough to get a second date.

I'd just like to let you know I'm obligated by law to tell you that I am a registered sex offender.

There's no correct answer. Any answer a (potential) boyfriend gives will be intentionally misinterpreted, taken out of context and thrown back at his face. :P

What should you never say?

"I'd like to show your daughter my snog box. It's bigger on the inside."
