A father-to-be was left stunned when he had a vision of his dead father’s face on the pregnancy scan of his unborn daughter.

Mark Wright, 30, had been for a 22-week check up with expectant girlfriend Kimberley Wootton when the ghostly shape was captured on the monitor.

And when the couple showed the scan pictures to a friend, they suddenly realised that the face of Mr Wright’s late father Chris could be seen – along with his distinctive moustache.

Chris tragically died after suffering a heart attack aged 31 in December 1992, when Mark was just seven years old.

Mark’s fiancée Kimberley later gave birth to daughter Amiyah, who weighed 5lb 7oz, on 28 August 2013.

He said: ‘It’s like my dad is my guardian angel watching over us.

‘I’d never noticed it before but everyone we’ve showed it to since can see it. My mum nearly passed out from shock.

‘I’ve never believed in anything supernatural before, but seeing my dad’s face so clearly is just uncanny.’

Kimberley added: ‘I looked at it and suddenly saw Mark’s dad staring back.

‘It was a bit freaky but since it’s happened Mark often looks at it and he feels closer to his dad as a result’.

I don't see the face. People will always see what they want to see, regardless of what is actually there. But it doesn't harm anyone and if it brings some peace to them.

Do you see the face?

I see the face but except it's just one of life's little jokes that some take too seriously.

No. At best, I see shadows of valleys and cranial depressions that look like a human skull. Out of a line up of human skulls, I wouldn't even be able to pick out MY father's, let alone someone else's father's skull.

:drunk2:

It looks like something that people can take from it what they want. If I lost my father at 7 I might want to see his face again too.
When I was pregnant for my first, my son, I said the ultrasound pic looked just like me! I told everyone. My mother in law said you can't tell I said yes I can he looks just like me! And to this day he looks exactly like me! Attitude-father! But he's my spitting image lol

Yeah like when you look at a bunch of clouds in the sky you can make pictures out of those.

I'm not sure if I describe my reply as funny, sad or disgusting.

Though, it seems very "interesting".
