If the train is empty, who cares?
Thats what it seems like. This rule should only be enforced when the train is crowded and people are forced to stand.
It is crazy to enforce such a law unless of course the subway is crowded and the person bringing in his legs can help make room for another person to have a seat.
And I would bet good money these cops did not arrest anyone for simply spreading his legs while seated. I would bet though that they arrested these people for not cooperating with police.
So because more then likely poor and minority people take the subway more then others the police are specifically targeting these minorities? What a stupid statement! Ridiculous and another idiot trying to throw race into a discussion.
If you do not like the stupid rules and laws the police are enforcing stop hiring the stupid leftist put in charge making those awful decisions.
making up your own stories about what actually happen eh?
Nope, just using common sense.
Men who hog train seats by spreading out their legs are being told to pack it in by New York Subway chiefs.
So called 'manspreading', where male passengers sit with their legs in a wide V across two seats, is the target of a new campaign by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
One ad will bear the slogan 'Dude...Stop the Spread, Please" next to an image of two subway commuters who are forced to stand because of one man's slovenly stance, reports the New York Times.

It may sound like an overreaction, but the New York Subway is becoming more crowded than ever before.
A whopping 6.1 million passengers used the system on its busiest day in 2014, compared to just 5.1 million on the busiest day a decade ago.
Ending the scourge of manspreading is just one facet of the campaign which will carry the slogan: "Courtesy Counts: Manners Make a Better Ride.”
"And I would bet good money these cops did not arrest anyone for simply spreading his legs while seated. I would bet though that they arrested these people for not cooperating with police."
that's the whole point though...
cops harassing everyone these days...
and you can't blame any political party as cops are independent from government policy, they can and do pick and choose what they enforce, and they are choosing to go after whom ever they see fit, or perhaps the people they dislike or hate? or just being assholes, either way, the people that see no issue in america's police is the problems because you are the ones that don't see any issues with what and how they do things these days...
A small minority of cops are harassing people as much as the cop haters would like to make it something more.
You are joking right! lol! Independent from government policy. LOL! Yeah right. With all of these liberal run city dumps everything they do is politically influenced. How these riots got out of control in these cities was politically influenced because cops were handled by the politcians on what do. Not politically influenced, LOL!
I see issues okay, I see liberal run cities becoming crap holes because cops can't do there jobs because of political correctness.
way to try to twist my words and add rioting into what i'm trying to say here...
but of course you're used to it as a follower of fox news...
