Light theme vs dark themes?

What do you prefer? Light themes or dark themes?

P.S. I am glad Off Topix has a few of both!

Same here I used to pick light all the time but now I have come to the dark side!

I like the light theme because forums are for consuming content or feeding content, when the theme is light everything becomes "lighter" It is easy to write and read when the theme is light.

I like dark themes more, I even have my inbox set to a dark theme for my email account at work. I do have both a dark and light theme on my forum for those who wish to switch between the two.

I generally prefer light themes, but if a theme is too light, then I may go with the dark theme if it's a lightly-toned dark theme.
