Game Series that should end

Give your opinion on what gaming series you think should stop.

For me it would be Tomb Raider. I was a really big fan back in the day but now in my opinion, with the exception of Legend there hasn't been a good Tomb Raider game in years. Underworld and Angel of Darkness were awful IMO

Personally, I think the Sonic series should end, considering that its games of this generation have been heavily criticised by many people and reviewers and as I say this, the Sonic Cycle comes to mind. However, people are hoping that Project Needlemouse will help turn things round.

Hmm... I have to agree that Sonic has ran its course. I want to say Crash but its been rejuvenated to some extent.

The mario games, except for Super smash brothers brawl.

Final fantasy, it's supposed to be the final one.

TBH I would have said Sonic but I wanted my one to not be an obvious choice

Sonic definitely.

An honourable mention goes to Final Fantasy. XIII isn't even out yet, and some stores are already taking pre-orders on XIV? TOO MUCH, MAN.

The Final Fantasy games. They all went down hill after Final Fantasy X. I think its had a good run, but Square would disagree. Perhaps my time with these games has long passed.

There are way...way too many of them. Each one worse than the next today. I liked the Final Fantasy games on PlayStation 1 and 3. But now all Square does is spam out sequels of the same game. Final Fantasy 13 got 3 sequels. Thats kind of ridiculous.

Why waste time on the same FF game when we could have had Final Fantasy 15 out long before now?

I'm thinking because Square wanted to make as much money off of 13 as they could I imagine. I know the entertainment or gaming industry is all about money and sales. But I think they over killed 13.  :|

Call of Duty. Their recent games re-use the same 2010-ish engine. And the Asphalt series too.

Seconding Final Fantasy. I haven't had much fun with an FF since 8. Although 12 was okay, it was missing something.

Also, Assassin's Creed. It was great the first two-ish...times. But they lost their way at the third one and just haven't regained their traction.

- Call of Duty. Do I need a reason?
- Sonic the Hedgehog. No disagreeing with Brydo and everyone else that said so. After the release of Rise of Lyric, I started doubting them. Many of the Sonic games today are a mixed bag and we haven't had a good Sonic game since Generations and that was a little over 3 years ago.

I can agree on the Final Fantasy games. There's too many and it's silly how many of those Square shits out.

:D

I'd say it's time to kill football related games that have definitely outlived their purpose. FIFA, Pro Evolution Soccer, Football Manager... Aside from cosmetic changes, what's so special about them that warrants new sequels every year? :unsure2:
