but can anyone tell me how long you can have them open on a table before they start going soft?

trying to figure out if they need to be eaten straight away, or if their's some well.. I guess I'd call it breathing room
 
Experiment, Leave one on the table and see how long it takes for it to go soft. ;)

If they (or most any chips) get stale or 'un-crunchy', I 'nuke' them for about 33 seconds. Good as new! :D

You have to eat them the same day you opened them.
If they (or most any chips) get stale or 'un-crunchy', I 'nuke' them for about 33 seconds. Good as new! :D

Works for popcorn too; don't think it would be a good thing to do with caramel corn, but plain popcorn without the goo - yes. :)
