reason?. I struggle to take care of myself and it would be unfair to take on someone else if I can't provide what's needed..

I'd be more inclined to adopt a child than to have one naturally, but I'm still really iffy about having children regardless of how I have them. I'm afraid I may have the ability to ruin their life, let them down too often, or they grow up and just forsake the family and every good thing we taught them.
You don't want a mini Cory with half your chromosomes?
I have a bad set of genes that run through my body, I wouldn't want my child to go through what I went through if they were to inherit those genes.
What did you have to go through (if you don't mind me asking)
Mental health issues.
My mom had a few mental health issues that neither me or my brother have, she didn't pass them down to us.
It's a risk you take when you have children. I got the worse of the genes from my grandma on my dad's side and my grandpa on my mom's side apparently.
Yeah a lot of stuff can skip a generation. Your kid might be fine but your grandkid might have some similar issues to deal with. Its all random I suppose.
Someone down the line is deemed to get it, perhaps it should stop with me.
