It's a FMV (full-motion video) game, basically an interactive movie. The story stops at several points and waits for your input, your decision on how to proceed, what to do next. :)
 
This one is from 1996, so it might be a tad difficult to get it to run on modern systems. It's designed to run on Windows 95 with 16 bit color depth. I had to modify a Windows 98 virtual machine to get it to run. Worst of all, it runs in 640 x 480 pixels resolution.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense, the older games are pretty difficult to get up and running. I have a couple of older Windows VMs running, hopefully I can get it to work with one them!
 
The main objective of the game is to change history, to prevent destruction of the ship you're on. Q acts as your guide and snaps you back if you make the wrong choice, mocking and taunting you the whole time. :p
