What can make you fall out of love?

Many things I should think: lack of trust, lack of respect; alcohol and/or recreational drug abuse. Some couples can get along being of different or opposite political persuasion; I think for most that would be a deal breaker.
Overload. Love and everything that comes with it is like an electric current. Just the right amount of it is fine. The steady stream with some minor tolerable fluctuations wouldn't cause me to blow a fuse, but if you were to overload me with too much crap, I'd simply pull the circuit breaker maneuver and flip. 
I'd say trust and respect are the biggest ones like @passenger said. Once those are gone, your relationship is doomed.
Is boredom the same as falling out of love?
Isn't that like the essential reason why most relationships fail? Besides cases like abuse, problematic circumstances - Most break up because they aren't enjoying spending time with their partner anymore.
Try not rejecting people? But…. also be careful with who you DO select.
