Latest version of PHP

Not really too important to me. I think the latest version of php is 8.2? We're using 7.x.x right now, the forum works just fine. Our host does have the latest version available though. I think some add-ons will stop working with php 8+ so I haven't switched over yet. I'd need to look into it more in detail beforehand.
My forum runs on 8.0 and all is working fine, I don't like to use bleeding-edge software, typically, I wait for it to be stable and well-tested before upgrading. 8 is where I feel comfortable right now, it works well for our needs 
Yeah I go on forums that claim to be on php 8+ and they seem the same as ones that are still on 7+.
