Has anyone here ever been bitten by a seagull?
I've been to Ivar's sidewalk seafood bar in Seattle & the gulls swarm in close like your gif there for scraps...mainly fries; but no, NEVER been bitten by one!

One time when I was younger my uncle took me and my cousin on a deep sea fishing trip. On the way back to land there was a giant flock of seagulls chasing our boat because we were throwing up all the unused fish we had (for bait). A few us us were holding the fish up and they were taking the fish right out of our hands. One seagull missed a fish and grabbed on to my thumb instead. Cut me up pretty good. Thought I would get some sort of infection because seagulls are rats with wings.

never bitten by one, but have seen them swoop down and grab food right out of peoples' hands. have seen a few with missing feet on Jersey beaches. they're brazen and pretty fearless. i'm about in the middle of the state and sea gulls were a problem at a dump/landfill nearby. the dump allowed a guy to put a falcon house (or whatever it's called) on the property. he brings his birds there on occasion to give them some exercise. the flcons seem to be pretty good at scaring off gulls and other nuisance animals.
