I feel like this show deserves its own thread.

Who else is watching the HBO series?

What are your thoughts so far?

As a fan of the videogame series (I loved The Last of Us and I loved The Last of Us 2 as well), I believe they've done a very good job of it. I haven't watched the third episode, but they're really stuck the landing on the opening chapters. The only thing I am a little unsure / curious about is whether or not they will capture that chemistry between Joel and Ellie. We will see.

Eugh, get ready for a rollercoaster in Episode 3. I can't stay up tonight to watch the 4th episode, but I really, really want to. I mean, I loved the show from the beginning, but damn they've made some very creative, very smart choices in how they've adapted the game into a show.

Really liking this show. Literally everyone I know is watching it. I have to watch it Sundays because all my co-workers want to talk about it the next day.

Because of my work schedule (I am off on Friday and Saturday, and go in on Sunday nights), I am never able to watch The Last of Us as it releases. And, when I come home, I'm always too tired to dedicate the attention I feel it deserves (so, I watch something like Scrubs or a laid-back while I fiddle-fart around on my phone), so I am always about an episode behind.

I watched the third episode, and liked it a lot! They changed it from what it was in the original, but I feel like it added new layers and a unique dynamic that I was grateful for.

I am very excited to see what will happen when they finally have to base themselves on the chemistry between Joel and Ellie, which I've heard, they make steps to in the fourth episode.

The 4th episode was pretty good, back to normal I'd say. The 3rd episode kind of trailed off into an independent story (a good story though).

As much as I have enjoyed the season so far, I am far more interested in seeing how they'll handle The Last of Us' sequel. I liked the second videogame more than the first, albeit it is by a small margin. I love the meanness of it, and I thought it was a more unique / less familiar story. Still, I recognize how polarizing it was and I also recognize how difficult it could be to make right.

I do the same thing. When I come home, I usually put on Friends, The X-Files, or Seinfeld. I've seen each show so many times and they're silly (except X-Files sometimes), so I don't have to pay much attention.

I haven't played the second game. I want to, but I'm afraid from all the things I've heard, lol
