US military or overseas?
No one in my family is American
My paternal gradnfather was RAF, my maternal grandfather was army, my maternal aunt was a Navy Wren, my maternal uncle was in the army, I believe, stationed at Gibraltar, my paternal uncle was Navy and then we have a long, long lineage of service all the way back to the battle of Hastings in 1066.

Don't know about his first son, but no, we left the UK and service became...just not a thing.
My dad's an asshole, he wouldn't have served even if there was a draft.

I don't know how I would have felt when it comes to "my" country, but I've never really had an interest in joining the US services. I respect those who do, that's a hell of a thing to do, but...no one wants me at their side in a life or death situation, lol. Hell, didn't Trump ban trans people from service anyway?

Yeah its usually just 2 world leaders having beef. They should go fight each other personally instead sending waves and waves of their own people to die.

Doubt they'd do that. They'd rather send strangers who happen to live in their country to die, not someone they actually care about.
