Why do humans murder?

Is the death penalty murder?

Is it ever OK to kill someone?

Is killing someone in self-defence murder?

I think looking up some legal terms as well as the definition of murder will be more than enough to put this topic to bed. 😋

We are nothing more than highly evolved primates. All primates are aggressive and killing comes natural to us. The only reason that we don't slaughter each other is due to deterrence from police, and jails.

Cause I don't know

I feel like some people are just evil and don't have any remorse for what they do or say.

Even if murder was 100% legal I wouldn't be killing anyone. I feel bad after I swat a fly. Lol

I would have made a very good soldier as I would have zero hesitation pulling that trigger.

Murder is always wrong. Unless it is by a government, military, religion, court system, native people that don't know better, medical systems, people who can afford expensive lawyers, people who are Clintons, and some others. But yes, murder is wrong when done by the other... well the poor people.

I think it's okay to kill someone in self defense. Otherwise, probably not a great idea to do it any other time.

Sometimes those self-defense defences don't hold up. A court might rule against you if they feel you could have wounded the person to defend yourself instead of ending their life.

Lol, seems that way, doesn't it!

Self defence and euthanasia are the only genuine motives for murder.

Good point, Neb.

Why do people like John Wayne Gacy act like good citizens but behind closed doors...

The wolf in sheep's clothing is just part of the act to gain people's trust to either blend in or to gain their trust. That is predatory behavior.

1. Humans murder for a variety of reasons ranging from mental health, revenge, evil, boredom, etc. Humans are an unpredictable species.

2. No. Legally, murder is the "unlawful premeditated killing of another human." Whether you agree with the death penalty or not, it is not considered murder, as the death penalty is lawful.

3. Killing someone is not a thing taken lightly. Even if you killed the person in a justified situation, you will more than likely have PTSD and/or guilt over it. It can really be traumatizing to live each day knowing you took the life of someone. Coming at this from another angle, Strictly in terms of murder, nope it is never okay. However, if we're talking about a self defense situation (and true self defense), then legally speaking, yes it is..

4. No. As stated above.
