How do you use the Internet? What do you do? How often? Why? Do you mainly use the Internet to play games, find friends, learn online, shop online…? What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of the Internet? Do you have any tips and suggestions you would like to give others?

Main use is for streaming. The internet powers everything I watch on television. Powers all the music I listen to.

Next main use is forums and social media.

I also do a little light online shopping here and there, I still prefer to go to an actual store for most stuff though.

I use internet mostly for music and learning about it. Then for work, forums, social media, and watching movies and series. Oh, I also love browsing old websites through the Wayback Machine

These days it's mostly forums and YouTube, and even the YouTube is mostly educational videos, or videos about my specific interests.

How do you use the Internet?
For communication, media, and shopping.

What do you do? How often?

See above. Every day.

Why?
Convenience.

Do you mainly use the Internet to play games, find friends, learn online, shop online…?

I mainly use it to keep up with friends and browse websites.

What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of the Internet?
I think the internet is a wonderful tool to keep us connected and offers convenience and a vast library of knowledge. In terms of the disadvantages, with so much information at our fingertips, we're vulnerable to being scammed by misinformation, hate, rage, racism, prejudice, sexism, and other dangers.

Do you have any tips and suggestions you would like to give others?
Be careful about what information you come across and who you talk to. The internet provides a lot of good things, but it can also put you into precarious situations with the wrong information and predatory people. Always do your research from multiple resources. Don't rely solely on the internet; talk to friends, family, professionals, etc.

I feel like they're attacking our phones more these days with scam text messages and phone calls.

We don't have DISH or Direct TV. We strictly go off of our smart televisions to stream tv shows, even though I have a pretty big movie and television library. I have to admit that streaming opens up doors to new shows. I also use the internet to download new video games for my Series X seeing as I strictly buy digital.
