Go Away

You wouldn't send a PM first asking them not to be rude and give them a chance to fix their behavior?
🤔🤔🤔
No. We're all adults. There's no room for bullying. Common sense should tell another person not to treat someone like that.

Yeah but nobody is perfect. People can have a lapse in judgment or be in a bad mood or going through something difficult / stressful in their lives.
I've seen plenty of people turn their behavior around with a simple PM and talking it out.

I definitely get that, stuff happens. I understand. But sometimes people use that as an excuse for their bad behavior or to treat people like garbage and no matter it's not okay. Everyone has gone through something, some just handle it better than others.
I've just seen a lot of dumb stuff where even talking it out with those mentioned leads nowhere. I would like to see someone change their behavior. It would honestly surprise me.

You don't know without trying. In fact a lot of the time ppl react instinctively without first having taken control of their emotions. I’m not saying it’s not unreasonable it may have been unnecessary . And knee-jerk reactions can escalate a minor unpleasant interaction from experience.

It’s possible that if you warn a member they will apologise and try very hard not to repeat the behaviour that ticked you off ;)

It's also possible that you do warn a person and they do not apologize. In fact, it's very possible they do not heed the warnings of staff becoming problematic for the entire community. Yeah, people get emotional. It's understandable, it happens and like I said I get it but sometimes there are consequences for a person's actions. There's no excuse for bullying someone just because you, generally speaking, are going through something. I stand by what I said though, that type of behavior would not be allowed on my group.

As a forum owner would you tolerate your members telling other members to Go away or Get the f--k out or Get off the forum or Nobody wants you here. leave! or whatever else people say?

No, telling people to go away on a public forum is really bad because that hurts the community and the member that's making those remarks for new members to take a hike is being a troll.
