There are countless sports in the world, offering something for everyone. However, some are a bit unusual and funny

Extreme Ironing:
Participants take their ironing boards and clothing to remote or dangerous locations to iron their clothes. The more extreme the location, the better.
............................................
How are your ironing skills?
What about being afraid of heights and other things?
Do you think you could participate in the sport of Extreme Ironing?"🏅

How does hair relate to this sport?

More information about this

1. Concept:
Extreme Ironing emerged in England in 1997 when a man, Phil Shaw, combined his love for outdoor activities with the need to iron his clothes. The concept involves taking the traditional household chore of ironing and performing it in unconventional and extreme environments.

2. Locations:
Participants, known as "extreme ironers," choose extraordinary locations for their ironing escapades. This can include mountaintops, cliffs, forests, underwater, or any other place that adds an element of challenge and excitement to the otherwise routine task.

3. Equipment:
Extreme ironers typically carry a lightweight and portable ironing board along with a functioning iron. The challenge lies in transporting and setting up the equipment in remote or challenging locations.

4. Adventure and Creativity:
The essence of Extreme Ironing is not in competitive sportsmanship but in the adventure and creativity involved. Participants seek out unique and picturesque settings for their ironing endeavors, often resulting in visually striking and humorous images.

5. Photography and Social Media:
Extreme Ironing gained popularity through social media, with participants sharing their photos and experiences online. The sport has become a platform for creativity, with individuals staging and capturing amusing ironing moments in breathtaking landscapes.

6. Community and Events:
While Extreme Ironing doesn't have formal competitions, there's a sense of community among enthusiasts. Some organized events and gatherings allow participants to come together, share stories, and showcase their most extreme ironing adventures.

7. Humor and Lightheartedness:
The sport embraces a lighthearted and humorous approach to both ironing and extreme activities. It's not about perfection or competition but about enjoying the juxtaposition of the mundane with the extraordinary.

Actually, kinda sounds like some fun. And no less productive than bowling, golf, or curling. :coffee:

--My ironing skills used to be absolutely PRIMO! No more :(. Been washing & wearing for too long. :D

--I might be able to handle that part.

--No way!
It could be fun to be outdoors, but no way for me either.
