When you come across people you don like on forums, what do you do?

Do you ignore them? Engage with them? Leave the forum?

How do you handle that?

I generally try and ignore them and just generally engage with them only when I'm in a situation that kind of forces me to do so. If the person is a staff member and plays a big role in the forum, I may just leave the forum altogether.

I believe people can get off on the wrong foot. That if someone is acting in a way that we don't approve, that they always have the opportunity to change. I used to have that mentality where if someone rubbed me the wrong way after first talking to them, that I was done. But I don't really think like that anymore. People have proven me wrong and I have come to really get along with them.

It depends on if they are cordial to me or if they think they can be abusive. If it's the latter, then they aren't worth my time and I avoid them, setting up healthy boundaries for myself.

Oh wait, that’s me.

I try to make an effort to like everybody, however, some people, this can't be helped. If somebody is outright derogatory towards me, or is rude, typically, I'll give them a heads up. After that, I'll just ignore them and leave them alone.

I’m a go with the flow kinda guy, easygoing and nothing really bothers me.

Especially in regards to internet / forum drama. It seems minuscule compared to stuff I have to deal with in my IRL life. I’m here to chill and get away from the stresses of daily life in the real world.

Liking isn’t the same as getting along. You can dislike someone or be neutral or indifferent towards them and still get on. I usually am neutral as I realise ppl have their own issues and isn’t necessarily a reflection of me. I try not to take thongs personally though that’s sometimes a hard motto to live by.

Sometimes just takes a little talk to change your pov.

Anyway, there's always someone than you don't like (admit it), and personally i just ignore them, even if they are engaged in the same convo that i'm participating.
