When you were a kid what did you like to do during indoor recess?

Due to a warm-weather/no-snow or harsh winter climate seems like we always had outdoor recess. So, best I can recall "indoor recess" was an unknown.
During the extremely hot months we were on 'summer vacation'.

I enjoyed playing board games with the other kids. We played games like checkers or chess.

Yup, Same Here, Indoor Recess Was Not Heard Of..

Indoor recess took away my being able to play with those in other classes, so I usually tuned out the chaos and read a book lol.

Nowadays, indoor recess is kind of better as I have allergies and the teachers are a bit “overprotective”.

We didn't have it as often as you might think. They were fine with us freezing, just stay off that snowy/muddy grass!
