Three parent baby is a technique used by scientists to ensure the mitochondrial disease trait of the mother is not passed over to the next generation.

For those of you who dont know the technique, its about taking the sperm of the father and fusing it with the ovum of the original mother harnessing the mitochondrial DNA of a surrogate mother, resulting in a child having one father and two mothers.

It bring into the forefront, ethical issues that doesnot require further mention. What do you think of the technique?

Is this something new? I have never heard about this before.
Have scientists been able to raise a baby to term using this method?

This is my first time of reading this .
As for me , it is not actually a good thing , and morally I don't think it is good .

There may be problems in near future , such as health challenge resulting from the process used when developing the baby .

I have heard about it but not understand about it.

I've heard of it but as an antinatilist I don't approve of any procreation regardless of the science involved.

And I thought science couldn't get any weirder. It's a sensitive topic so I'm going to refrain from sharing my opinion on it.
