What do you think about AI ?

AI is an acronym for Artificial intelligence . It usage helps to improve assets reliability , increase production , while maintaining efficiency .
However with the venture into AI , and its reliability , it is feared by people especially those unskilled labourers , that it might take over their jobs in future .

Even the skilled and semi skilled labours , is not actually safe in this aspect .
Nevertheless , AI is desirable , as it offers faster and better result , than manpower.

What do you think about AI ? Should be given a full attention , or should there be some aspect of our work , that it will be excluded , so that it doesn't take over peoples work .
While commenting that , as an employee , you do prefer to have efficiency ( AI) than manpower , as will all want progress .

I don't think AI is present in industry. Inteligence means solving problems by yourself but so far what we did is make complex programs and automated process. I didn't hear yet somebody made computer which solves new problems. Everything is just result of complicated math, algorithm and data analysis. For me we didn't made any progress in AI and this term is often use wrong.

The notion bandied about in sci-fi of AI becoming aware and destroying mankind is an interesting one. Terminator, The Matrix, just to name two.

I'm not au fait with the technology, so forgive my naivety, but is the actually possible? Are we all going to die at the hands of our robot overlords?

Yes it is possible. You can die because of Tesla autopilot to. That program in some conditon (for which is not programmed) can not notice you as human and run you over. You have many "AI systems" which should provide is saftey but those are not self aware. If it become, we could be in serious trouble since people are full of imperfection.

I believe that as long as AI is infused in our lives as a tool to HELP and DIRECT humans to a more productive and eco-friendly future it will be great. However, if it turns into an i-Robot situation then we are going to have bigger problems that even WIll Smith won't be able to help us with.

Man, AI has really become big the last year or two. It's cool that there are ways it can make our lives significantly easier, but I also have reservations about it. It can certainly be used unethically.

I am trying my best not to use AI. For instance, ChatGPT is still not accurate at present. I do not want to have false information when using it.
