Film Club Thread

So, I'm an avid fan of movies and am always looking to discover and share my passion for them. I came across this idea from a thread I saw on another community. The concept is pretty simple, it's a group of similar film lovers who get together weekly and watch a film. I recently discovered there's an awesome website/app called Kast that allows you to host 'rooms' where others can come and watch as you stream a movie, etc.

So, I'm curious. Who else would be interested in participating?

I would absolutely love this @Phenom and we could see about helping to promote it as well which could help get more members involved in this. Would we vote on movies to watch?

Yes, each participating member would nominate a film genre and then using a random wheel picker, a genre would be selected at the end of the deadline. Then we would nominate a film within that genre and again, the random wheel picker will choose the film.

Then it's just a matter of selecting a time that works for everyone.

Sounds good to me. I think it might be cool for us to do it monthly so that we can get as many people on it.

Shouldn't be a problem. We can try to pick titles that have the option of subtitles with multiple language preferences.

I've heard about people doing this, but never looked into it. If it ends up being a good time, I would love to participate as well!

I am, but time zones are a pain. then again I can just watch a film anytime I want on my own LOL
