Disney+ has been around for nearly a year now and is chalk full of amazing content. Who here has Disney+ and what are your favorite shows and movies to watch on there? If you have a subscription, how long of a subscription do you have? Do you think it's worth it?

I have Disney+ thanks to my phone provider who gave me 6 months for free when I got a new contract. I watched the two latest Marvel films and a few TV shows here and there but haven't used it much. The best thing about it is the Mandalorian and I watched that when it first came out lol

I have Disney+ compliments of my partner lol. He uses my Netflix, I use his Disney+. It's a win-win really!

Oh, and my roommate also uses my netflix so he let's me use his amazon prime :D

I have Disney+, and haven't explored it too much. But since we are getting rid of Netflix, I might as well see what exactly is on Disney+, as I don't want to be stuck just to Amazon Prime. :D

I need to get it yet to check out all the star wars stuff going on, I'm falling a bit behind and need to catch up.

Honestly I thought my wife would use Disney+ more than she has, we have a subscription but we don't watch much on it tbh. We have watched a few Disney movies that we don't own or ones that we have only on DVD.

I don't feel that it's worth the price. I don't feel Netflix is the worth the price. People are only getting it to watch Star Wars and the Mandalorian. I'm not a fan of Star Wars nor do I really watch it. I still believe Blu Ray is the best option.

Same as me, to be honest. I thought I would have used it a lot more than I did so, in the end, I cancelled it. The only reason I have it right now is that I managed to get a 3-month promo for it. Now that the Mandalorian is finished, I won't really be using it much.

Still don't have it, although I might get one soon, so I can watch The Mandalorian. It'll give me something to do during the endless days and nights at home :) .

How is Netflix not worth the price? There's way more new content added monthly that I consider to be well worth the price. It's like having cable television but you can scroll through the options and pick and choose what you want to watch.

I will agree that Disney+ isn't worth the price..yet. There's only a few shows or movies that you could honestly find on other streaming platforms or rent from other avenues before spending the monthly subscription fee that Disney feels is warranted. 90% of their library is old movies. There's even movies that you can't watch right now because they have an agreement or a contract for it with another platform.

In my opinion Netflix > Hulu > Disney+

Well. I know that the medium is a physical license of the movie or the show. But if I stream, I don't feel like I have that feeling that you get when you buy a DVD or a Blu Ray movie. The feeling that you have a bit of ownership. Even though, it's just the physical form of a license. I don't get that from Netflix and I'm even more disappointed that less and less movies are coming to Blu Ray and they're now just going straight to Netflix without ever getting a physical release. I guess it's more of a me problem and less of an everyone else's problem. I know, I gotta get with the times.

I don't blame you for wanting to have the physical copy. I feel the very same way about books. I prefer the physical copy because there's something special about holding the book and turning the page. I enjoy this realm of streaming. Makes it far easier to own and watch the seasons of my favorite shows without having to fork over $30 every season.

Definitely worth it just for the Mandalorian. Loved the show and I'm sure you will like it too

I feel the same way. I don't read much nowadays, to be honest, but I do love physically holding the book and reading it. I could never really get used to reading ebooks.

With the amount of shows that I watch, streaming is just so much more convenient. It would be way too expensive for me to buy every season. Plus, it allows me to try new shows and just not bother with them if I don't like them.

I always felt just buying it on disc was cheaper than paying for Internet and monthly streaming subscriptions combined.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I try to make sure to take time to read and work my way through a set number of books a year, whether physical or eBook. I will say that there's nothing like turning the crisp page of a book you own; but, the space you save by using eBooks is a fair compromise.

I won't disagree with you; but, you end up paying a fair tradeoff for the sheer volume of content you gain access to.

I am using Disney+, and so far, I am enjoying the movies embedded here. It is better than using cable TV.
