Dracula's influence looms large as Belmont and Sypha investigate plans to resurrect the notorious vampire. Alucard struggles to embrace his humanity.

Epic anime. I just ordered all 3 seasons on Blu Ray from Amazon. I hope I get them soon. I really enjoy the action and gore of the show.

I need to finish season three to get ready for the debut of season four.

Hard to say, depends on how popular it continues to be. They could literally make seasons until they tire of doing so or decide to switch to another medium.

I did some digging. Apparently Netflix is already canceling Castlvania. They have a really bad habit of canceling shows instead of letting them run for more seasons. I'm surprised it made it this far. I'll buy the 4th season when it comes out on Blu Ray.

Still have yet to watch this, might as well let it all air first.

You might as well go ahead and start. It's on it's last season.

It's a shame. Seems to be a trend with a lot of shows that have depth. Maybe we'll get lucky and Amazon will pick it up and carry it for a few more seasons.

You know I honestly thought this show was a Japanese anime until I started watching it. Then I realized it was an American Anime after I did some research. Oh well. It's still very good.

Most of the Netflix originals are American anime in origin. There's only a few of them that aren't or Japanese in origin.

It is disappointing. But according to them:

Cindy Holland explained that the biggest factor Netflix considers when it comes to renewing or cancelling shows is whether or not they're "getting enough viewership to justify the cost of the series." For some expensive shows

Why Netflix Keeps Cancelling Popular Shows - CINEMABLEND

It's almost like they're punishing the viewers. Even if it's a super popular show and a lot of people missed an episode one month because they were too busy. That'd hurt the show and could badly affect it. That doesn't feel like a valid argument coming from Netflix.

It seems to be the ongoing trend with a lot of channel/networks and shows. They cancel shows due to cost; but, they continue to keep the reality shows because they cost little to nothing to produce.

@Phenom Who is your favorite characters in the show?

My favorite protagonist is Alucard. I totally loved the fight between him and Dracula. It felt so brutal between the two of them. He obviously was not in his right mind after his wife died.

And lastly my favorite villain would be Carmilla.

Are you surprised that he wouldn't be in his right mind? The very people that his wife was trying to convince him weren't evil, burned her at the stake for being a 'witch' because she practiced medicine and knew what looked like magic to them.

Are you surprised that he wouldn't be in his right mind?

Not really. I don't think Dracula would have kept his sanity for very long and Alucard knows Dracula better then you or I do. Perhaps he dealt with his father having a moment of sanity before he locked him in a coffin for a whole year. I don't blame Adrian for taking advantage of this opening. Because even though his father had come to his senses. Adrian Tepes went ahead and staked him in the heart. There was no way of knowing if this was temporary or not because of how long Dracula had been massacring humans.

Not a huge Anime fan but I did see the trailer the other day on Netflix and its quite impressive. Do you guys recommend to watch it?

Alright guys since many of you have recommended it this weekend I am going to sit back and give Castlevania a shot. Who knows maybe I might get a hang of anime after all. :sneaky:
