Root canals

I've never had one, and pray that I never do.

We're not being very helpful huh? I've never had one either. Isn't that the procedure where they have to completely drill through the tooth to get to the rotted bits and replace it with filling to protect the remaining tooth? I'm no expert obviously. I've heard that dental issues can ultimately cause serious health damage if left untreated so I stay on top of my regular check ups.

My 6th grade science teacher had one. He said it was very painful. But that's all I remember about that conversation.

I think they numb you up pretty well before the procedure but it's the recovery that's doozy like other major surgeries.

When I was in Tajikistan, I had my root canal and did not like the procedure. At that time, I did not have a choice.

It was a long drawn process and there were a few visits till the job was completed. It was uncomfortable but not painful.
