There are not many new titles out there in the market. But I have plans on changing the phone once the good models do come out. I want to know if the 5G phones are something you have plans on getting. Do you think they are worth buying now or when their prices are going down. So how are things are going for you on purchasing new phone?

Do you want to buy 5G phone?

Annoyingly my area is one of the few areas in the UK that isn't 5G supported as of yet, otherwise I would have started using it already!

My iPhone supports 5G so no need for me to upgrade to a new phone.

It's not something I actively looked out for but when I upgraded to the 13 Pro, it was a 5G phone. I'm still using an old sim though so I'm stuck with 4G for a while. My plan has 5G but I can't be bothered to deal with the sim swap

I'm sure I will have to deal with it, is the Sim swap a lot of mess?

I don't believe so. I think they send you a new sim, you enter some details, and they activate the new one. There might be a short period where you don't get calls or texts though. I just can't be bothered to contact them to request it

If you already have the contacts saved on the phone, they shouldn’t go anywhere, and it’s not hard to back your contacts up regardless.

Oh yeah, I know. I just can't be bothered with the actual process of swapping it. They don't let you just order one online for this purpose so you have to call them up.

My sim supports 5G however my phone is only a 4G even though it's the new 2021 series. But at the end of the day %g is pointless for the UK at the moment in time unless you are living in very big cities like London.

I get even get two bar single bars of 4G in my arare LOL

I don't have a phone capable of 5G currently but honestly I get good speeds on my phone that it doesn't really bother me.

I think I will naturally upgrade to a 5G device but at this time I'm totally OK with my Apple 11 Pro.

I currently have a 5G iPhone, 13 Pro Max, and I really like it. I feel like it runs faster than other devices. However, even if you purchase a 5G phone, be sure that 5G is available in your area, some areas do not have 5G connectivity yet.

I wouldn't go out of my way to buy a phone with the functionality but I'm sure at some point it'll just be the standard and it's what I'll end up using.
