I loved the new trilogy that they came out with in the 2010's. So I'm looking forward to seeing this one. :D
 
Can't wait for this to come out next year! I loved the others and love the Mo-cap work Andy Serkis does.
 
Do you think this one is going to mirror the original 60's films?

There was a novel where some dude lands his ship on a planet and there are apes as intelligent as humans.

Nope, I know what you're talking about though. I do remember reading the novel that talked about the prequel of the smart apes, though it was more for countering bugs.
