What are your views towards birth control?

Are you for it or against it?

We used Natural Family Planning because it helped for me to be in tune with my body to know when to abstain. I am a product of failed birth control, so it's necessary to not fully rely on those things.

I’m certainly for it, but like Kathy, I am a birth control baby as well. It’s certainly not 100%, but I’d say you’ve got better odds with than without. :P

We had a success with my wife on birth control the first go around until we decided to actually have a child. She'll go on it again until we decide for our second but I feel like birth control is much more of a woman's preference and shouldn't be decided by men. :)

But that should be the decision of the couple, not just one person.

While I agree with that somewhat, I'd say that if a woman wants to be on birth control, myself as a man, has no right to tell her no, regardless of us being a couple or not. I may provide my reasoning as to why she shouldn't or why I don't think she should, but regardless of that, it's her body, her decision.

As long as a fertilized egg isn't killed, I don't see the big deal. However, birth control is a huge weapon of groups trying to undermine family values.

It's her decision, so long as she's upfront about that decision. In previous relationships, I've had the issue of my significant other claiming she's taking birth control while she actually isn't. Fortunately no children happened during those fiascos, but I sure do wish my input would have been taken into consideration. :P

I had an ex girlfriend do that to me as well. That was pretty scary. :(

I'm for it, but I think extra precautions should be taken into account as a fail safe.

In my country, the health sector encourages women to take birth control pills to control the population. However, the religious sector is against this idea.

Yes, I'm for birth control to avoid population explosion. But I'm. totally against abortion
