Mardi Gras Celebration!​

The Staff here at Discussion Hub will start "throwing beads" for the members to collect starting February 1st.

If you're the big winner with the most beads, you will win a $20 Steam gift card!

And a trophy!

HOW to collect beads? You simply post around the site. There is no rhyme or reason, just like at a Mardi Gras Parade!
WHO is throwing them? Staff each have 100 beads to give out as they wish.
WHEN will this end? When staff runs out of their beads or the end of Feb, whichever comes first.

UPDATE: We now have a beads "reaction" that staff will be giving to posts instead of adding the animated bead throwing gif.

I live in Tennessee, but I go down to Gulf Shores, AL all the time. I bought a king cake down there a few weeks ago. They do plenty of Mardi Gras stuff.

I visited Mississippi a few times when I was a toddler Not during Mardi Gras though!

Staff will "throw beads" when we like some of the posts just to change things up a bit around here for a while.

They do, yeah. Pretty much most of the Gulf Coast does now, I think.

When I lived in Florida, they had a huge festival in the city I was living in. It was the first Mardi Gras Festival I had ever been to and I really enjoyed it. Too bad they don't celebrate it in Missouri.
