The last crazy thing you did?

Spent money on a raffle for something I wanted as a child but never got...and then lost the raffle...of course.

I like adventures when I go hiking and I guess the last crazy thing was going off the main trail onto a deer trail...to see where it led. It didn't go anywhere exciting and I had to figure out how to backtrack.

Well, I wasted money on a helmet and a jacket that I never used. I applied for a job where I was supposed to wear both the things. However, I never got the job and it seemed like I wasted money.

Okay this is gonna sound either really lame or kind of awesome depending on your perspective...
So last month I was doom-scrolling at like 2 AM (as one does) and saw this post about a 24-hour diner challenge where you try to hit as many diners in your city as possible in one day. And for some reason my sleep-deprived brain was like "YES, this is exactly what my life is missing."

So the next Saturday I woke up at 5 AM, mapped out 8 diners across town, and just... went for it. By myself. With a little notebook rating the coffee and pie at each place like some kind of discount food critic

The weird part? It was actually amazing. Met this old guy at diner #3 who told me stories about the neighborhood from the 70s. The waitress at #6 thought I was doing it for a YouTube channel and kept giving me "behind the scenes" restaurant gossip. And the pancakes at #7 were legitimately life-changing.

I made it to 6 out of 8 before I was so full of coffee and carbs that I thought I might actually die. Spent like $80 on mediocre diner food and drove probably 100 miles around the city for no good reason.

But honestly? Best random Saturday I've had in ages. Sometimes you just gotta do something completely pointless and see what happens.

...I'm realizing this story makes me sound like I have no friends and questionable decision-making skills. But hey, at least I know where to get good pie now!
