Once a cheater, always a cheater?

Do you think this statement applies to every person who has made the mistake of cheating in a relationship? Why or why not?

There are a lot of people, women specifically, who will religiously say this about men. In fairness, yes, there are some immature, asshole people who spend their entire life cheating. However, whether people want to admit it or not, there are plenty of folks who legitimately made a mistake and won't ever do it again. I think a lot of people just assume that when someone cheats, they were actively seeking out a person to sleep with that wasn't their partner. That isn't the case, not every cheating situation is the same.

I can't say yes or no here; it has never happened to me, nor have I done it.

I do not think that every person who has cheated on their spouse is going to do that again, everyone can make a mistake and do something they regret. That being said, I think that there are some people (male and female) who just are not committed in a relationship, and probably any marriage is not going to work out for those people.
I have not been in this situation, but if I were, I would certainly give my spouse another chance if they were honest about everything.

People make mistakes, so it's hard to say that someone who has cheated would cheat again. At the same time, it would be impossible for me to trust that person if it happened to me.

I walked in on my partner at night in bed with not 1, but 2 guys and I got my stuff and started walking out. He came up to hug me on the balcony, and I pushed him off it... (Not very high balcony) just FYI but dam, it felt good, and his mother is in the background laughing it up

That's when I learnt it's time to be a bitch, and I was the BIGGEST, haha
