Did you ever get a toothache that lasted a few days and then it just went away?

I thought I had a cracked tooth, filling, crown, whatever...I couldn't figure out which tooth was hurting, but I noticed that I was grinding my teeth while painting some trim outside. Last night, the pain went away mysteriously and I'm happy about it, but wondering if anyone else has had this happen? Pain comes and then it goes??

You're very lucky! Hope it does not return!

My jaw has been hurting the past few days, so I figured it would be best to get the dentist to check things out. He took an x-ray and nothing showed up. He did a bite test and nothing hurt. He did the cold test and didn't really find anything abnormal. No visible cracks and the nerve looks fine. He said that it's possible there is a crack we can't see yet and it's a matter of time before I need a crown on that tooth. But for now, just wait and see.

Aaargh! One of those vicious circles!
Hope that pain just fades away ......maybe you, without being aware, just bruised it a little. :dontknow:
Good thing that you got it checked out anyhow.
