Lions are not supposed to be kept as let's. They are wild animals and they can attack a human at any time. They are supposed to be in the wild, not in your house! However, still many people keep them as pets and then they get attacked by them.

Why do people keep lions as pets?

Unfortunately, many people keep lions as pets and they get attacked. We have a few people in our country who own lions and they do not follow laws related to wild animals. Having said that, I am not sure if keeping wild animals as pets is even allowed in my country.
Mike Tyson is the only person that comes to mind, but that was a tiger.
