  1. Last Game Played

Either Mario Kart 8 or Counter Strike Source (BOOM HEADSHOT!)
  2. Outgrowing Video Games?

I wouldn't say I've outgrown video games, but I'm perhaps a bit less interested in them because I've discovered other activities that I enjoy or that I have to do that compete for my time. If I was given 100 years to spend playing video games, I think I could easily spend all that time without...
  3. Recent Tech, Net, Science, and Video Game Purchases

Finally have a Wii U with Mario Kart 8. I love that game! Awesome level design, music recorded from real instruments, rich colorful graphics... The only problem I have is that the battle courses are just the racing courses. The only track that seems suitable for battle to me is Yoshi Valley...
  4. Virtual Reality Headgear?

I've wanted to experience VR for most of my life and finally my dreams are coming to fruition. I almost bought an Oculus Rift developers kit, but then the Facebook acquisition threw me off. After reading much of the discussion on this topic, I've come to the belief that it probably is a good...
  5. A Callous Passerby

This "Smith" just may be a sociopath.
  6. The Trolley Problem

For me, it would depend on several factors such as how much the each person wanted to live and whether they were good people. Rationally speaking, if I didn't know anything about anyone and had no time to make the decision, I'd assume they were all decent people who wanted to be saved and would...
  7. $10,000 or risk it

I was about to say the same. I'm still risk averse, but I think I'm willing to take the risk as long as the chance is at least 25%.
  8. How Do You Deal With Stress?

These things help me, but I often just cannot seem to shake off the stress. To add some of my own though: Going for a walk Reading a book Playing a musical instrument Listening to rain Sleep
  9. Insecurities?

I feel the same way as beowulf and Teg. It's pretty bad with me. I guess my self esteem is pretty low.
  10. What job

I seriously never knew what I wanted to do as a job as a child. Honestly, I still don't know. There are so many things I'd like to try, but practically I don't see how I can accomplish it all. I feel so overwhelmed and confused right now. :(
  11. Your First Car?

I don't have a car of my own yet. Hopefully the first (new?) car I purchase with my own money will be a Tesla Model III.
  12. 'Numbers'

I don't think I could watch if there was a sequel. It would probably make me sad. :(
  13. Fossils

There will always be missing links, branches, and leaves as it's rare for an organism to become fossilized and we'll never excavate then entire planet. However there is plenty enough to see some good detail in the evolution of life. We can say that intelligent design is necessary to explain the...
  14. Astronaut tweets breathtaking photos from space

Beautiful. I hope near Earth orbit will be accessible to tourists in my lifetime.
  15. the now Not-So-Great Red Spot

I don't see how this article can be used to take a stab at anthropogenic climate change with respect to Earth. This is an entirely different matter... :| Anyway, that dang spot is still large enough to swallow our planet. I wonder how it would feel to be within it. Pretty brutal I'll bet!
