How long to get over an ex?

For me...it was over 8 months until I got over my last ex...a lot of memories spending together.
That's the hardest part for me too. I still get break up nostalgia and it's barely been 7 months.
It's rough at times, cause I still suffer from depression and all that on top of it.
I try not to think about it. Just when I think I'm getting over her, that's when it hits the hardest.
It depends on the person. In some cases, you simply don't get over them. One ex, who I haven't spoken to in decades, I still love to death and miss. My other ex, it took me a few years to get over her fully due to the circumstance, but now I'm over her. Though I have to admit I still harbor hate for her.
