How long does Google Search Console take to index a new site?

I'm curious how long Google Search Console typically takes to index a new site, anyone know?

How often do you check Google Search Console?

I've had at least one website for over 25 years, and have been webmaster for three now for a dozen years or so, and have NEVER used G Search Console.

And as most search engines seem to track off G results, and G is now all about being paid for inclusion in search results.

I don't worry about it.

It can take anywhere from a day or a couple of weeks. It all depends on Google.

Sometimes their spiders are quick at crawling and indexing a new site or they’re not.

However, it’s best to focus on adding new content and fresh backlinks to a newly released site so Google bots can find your site a lot faster.

New sites don’t generally rank well as they’re usually placed in a sandbox.
