How many steps do you get daily? I have been doing 10,000 steps almost every day for 2 years now (since my last cancer surgery). I find that if I don't get my steps in that I get kind of antsy and restless.

At first my goal was 15,000 steps but I found that my knees would be sore too often so I lowered it to 10,000 and it's a lot more manageable. What about you?

My answer is drastically different presently than it was say...4 months ago. I am very confident that I was doing at or close to 9000 steps per day between home/work. Recently, I would consider myself lucky to hit 2000, especially since our government says we should only be taking "essential trips" out.

Similar to Hungry Ego, I was getting a lot of steps throughout the week because I had to travel to Uni and then do shopping on the weekends as well. But that has completely stopped after the lockdown over here in the UK. I get 10,000 steps here and there but not nearly enough.

@Lämmchen I would say that 10,000 steps a day is a very good and realistic goal to achieve. Have you notice any other significant health benefits to doing this?

My step count ranges and fluctuates often, as I do not set myself targets. Some days I can do a thousand, whilst others I can do above 15,000. I do find myself doing the latter sometimes now as I am walking for longer distances, to avoid using public transport during the pandemic. I would say that this year I am averaging between 6k and 8k steps per day.

What smart device were you using to keep track of your steps?

Before the lockdown, I was achieving 10,000 steps or more on a day but due to the government restricting our movements, this has reduced somewhat. I use my iPhone to track my step count, now I don't own a FitBit Watch.

I bought a fitness watch and recorded my steps for a while, but it's pretty pointless.

150,000 steps a day here. And it easy to do. Expect to not have time to stop and eat and drink. :P

There it is :P

Really though I have 48 step stairs to get to my bedroom from the ground floor, but 10K a day, Nope I dealt that I get that amount a day. Lucky to get to 5K

150,000? Are you sure? Do you mean 15,000? 10,000 steps is roughly 5 miles, so that means you walk 75 miles a day?

I work in a fast pace retail job, so I imagine at least 5 days of the week I tend to do that many steps if not close to it.

150K was a joke LOL

Might able to do just over 5miles on Mondays

I thought it was, there's no way you walk 75 miles in one day. How do you keep track of how many steps or miles you do in a day? Through a Smart Device?

My average steps, involve on average, between a mile and a mile and a half. Though there are days where I need to increase my steps, due to feeling like my joints need the extra steps, or if I get feeling like I need to get out of the house.

I am trying to hit at least 10,000 steps in a day. It is inevitable that I will not reach this goal because I am living in the mountains.
