At the pub where I go the bartender takes a quarter and stands it up on its side. He tells the patrons sitting at the bar whoever can stand up a quarter will get a free drink. Sounds easy right? Nope. There are sections of the bar that have a slight tilt. You should see all the people trying to stand up their quarter and can't. 
I caught on very quickly to go stand in the section of the bar the bartender uses. My quarter stands on the first try every time!

That would require me to go to a bar.
I haven't been in a bar that I wasn't working in in over ten years.
And, yes, when I tended bar, I saw all sorts of tricks, including one I never figured out where a guy would freeze ice cubes to the outside of his glass. I suspect he had a small CO2 canister like they use for a pellet gun on him, but I've never seen it done anywhere else.
