That's about what I was making as a correctional officer when I started that job in '86.
What's your opinion to the idea of $15/hr fast food jobs?
I've worked in the fast food industry, for about $5 an hour (back in the day).
The hours were brutal, the workplace was a circus, and I wouldn't do it again FOR $15 an hour.
But, the low pay and all that was incentive to stay in school, and get a better job, at a sit down restaurant, where I was getting paid more.

As job is a job. Fast food places are looked down upon, but honestly, They work they're arses off. I've watched them when I used to go to McDonalds and Burger King. You have to be so quick and organised. £9.81 is just under what I earn. That is a good wage in the UK.
