If you're in the US, you know there's a lot of crazy stuff going on in politics right now. We've got Republican Presidential Debates going on, as they supposedly try and determine who their candidate should be. Mind you, the individual that is significantly leading the race to be the Republican nominee is former President Trump, who is refusing to even participate in the debates, making them even more moot than they usually are.

Then on the other side, we've got President Biden running for re-election, who has been polling very poorly, with him being looked at as a dinosaur who needs to step aside for another candidate. Biden just turned 81. If he were re-elected, he would be 86 at the end of that term. He's already lived longer than 33 of our 45 former presidents.

Then we've got third party candidates coming out of the woodworks, including Mr. RFK Jr. While polls have often shown close to a 50/50 split between Trump and Biden, the belief is that these third party candidates could be potential spoilers, pulling candidates from one side or the other, determining the winner of our election. The problem is, it's difficult to say who would be losing the votes there, Trump or Biden?

Anyway, how do you guys feel about the 2024 Election? Who do you think will end up being inaugurated in January 2025? Trump? Biden? Someone else?

I’m voting for Jesus next year or writing my own name down because we’re heading in a worst situation one way or another, honestly. I do not usually talk politics though 🙃

It doesn't matter who wins, everyone loses.

I can't wait for the election to be over with all ready! It's like a 4 year event now LOL

It's funny since a lot of what is going on right now with the other candidates (everyone besides Trump and Biden) is being looked at as a test run for their candidacies in 2028. Pretty much guaranteed to be one or the other, and everyone else is just building their image and hoping to obtain some followers that stick with them 4-5 years from now when they run and maybe have an actual shot.

Considering my line of work and the decisions Biden has made so far while in office, I will not be voting for him. I'm uncertain where my vote will go. I would prefer DeSantis to run as the Republican candidate but Trump is still the perceived victor of the Republican primaries.

Going into the debates, I really wanted DeSantis to be the guy, but he hasn’t looked great in them, especially the first two. Nikki Haley has been kicking his butt. He has been losing lots of big donors to her…. Anyway, have you seen his creepy smile? 😂

How has Nikki been beating him? From what I've seen, he has been the only one with a consistent record of saying things and following through. I know a lot of people prefer him over Trump because he's more reserved in how he approaches and handles things rather being direct and confrontational as Trump is occasionally perceived. I do know that he will struggle with votes because of his firm stance against abortion when it's such a hotbed topic right now.
