The internet is a strange place.

While the upsides are numerous, you can encounter some frankly bizarre people every time you log on. Some of them are intense, some of them are a bit annoying, some of them are endearing – and some of them are you.

No matter what you spend your time doing online (hey, that’s your business!), you will have cyber-met at least one of each of these folk.

Two questions:

3. The horny

Tinder might be dying but there are still plenty of places to find those desperate for a hook up. Those internet users that can turn anything dirty and whose inbox messages turn from asking how your Saturday is going to whether you do anal in a split second. Being faceless seems to take away all inhibitions and restraint.

Oops. I dropped my spoon. I'll just bend down to pick it up.

I'm not looking for a hook up, though. I just like making dirty jokes.

16. The ‘witty’

First on every comments section and ‘that guy’ who makes a joke or a pun in a serious forum thread, they have the occasional moments that are lolz-worthy but are generally just trying too hard to get that crying with laughter emoji in response.

I'm not trying too hard. Really, I'm not. I could try even harder, if I wanted to. Harder and faster... in and out...

Am I trying too hard to make a dirty joke here? Anyone?

19. The new to the internet users

Grannies who post private messages to Facebook walls and those who ask their friends when Asda closes, forgetting the existence of Google shouldn’t be given too much flack. Everyone starts somewhere.

This is a bit unfair. We were all new to the Internet at some point, regardless of our age.


I suppose I could also fit into the 'Fandoms' and 'Gamers' category, since I can easily converse with other fans of the things I'm into, like Star Trek, Doctor Who, etc. , and I like to play games, but I'm definitely not even close to such extremes described there.
