Do you think that 9/11 is overly or under discussed, publicized, recognized, etc etc

Post your thoughts on the whole 9/11 situation and how media coverage on it is.

Maybe they're trying to find evidence?

Well, it was all over the news... I checked CNN yesterday: 50+% 9/11.

I'm wondering what happened to the 9/11 truth movement.

Did they all suddenly realize just how stupid their claims were?

I watched a program about them once.... Never again. I got really angry at them

The point is that the best conspiracy is the one that is never suspected.

Do governments, corporations, unions, PTA's, sports leagues, ministerial associations, political bodies, and husbands who are asked by their wives if they thought the current Miss USA is prettier than they are- lie?

Yes.

Of course.

The counter point is that most people wouldn't know the damned truth if they tripped over it on the sidewalk.

A tragedy is a tragedy. So of course within reason it warrants a fair chunk of the air time, especially in the nation in which it took place.

I'd say whatever coverage it gets, is just the right amount.

What's not getting enough coverage however is:

- Israeli terror attacks on Palestine.

- Somali/Ethiopian famine.

- Iraqis affected by the war.

- Libyans affected by the war.

- Afghans affected by the war.

I am not a supporter of the 9/11 conspiracy theories being publicized so much. I personally feel that it misdirects attention from other, more concrete, grievances which activists are raising. Sayf Udeen does a good job at listing some of them. I would also expand it to include the Fourth World, Development Policy among others.

Mr. J - I try to be reasonable about these sorts of things.

How do I define 'reasonable'? Well.... how's this:

I do not believe that the US Government recruited the hijackers to fly aircraft into the target buildings. Nor did they use missiles or C-4 to bring them down. Did 'they' know something was afoot and an attack was possible? Yes. Perhaps they didn't know all of the details, but even for Al Qaeda keeping something that big that tight and leak proof for the required period of time is all but impossible. Could the attack have been prevented? Possibly. But those who protect the rest of us from these sorts of criminal acts have to be right every time, the bad guys only have to get their underwear to go off on an airplane once.

I also do not believe that President Bush and Mr. Rove planted explosives on the levees in New Orleans, nor do I believe they ordered it done. Do I think that the Army Corps knew that catastrophic failure was possible? Yes. Did the city and the state waste a BUNCH of the money set aside for refurbishing the structures in the twenty years or so prior to the storm? Oh, Hell Yes. Is there plenty of blame to go around? Damn straight.

Do I think exhaust from my van will make the polar bears extinct? No. Do I think that our combined output of fumes and soot is having some effect on the overall climate of the planet? Of course it is. Do I think that Natural processes including solar activity have done things like cause and end an Ice Age, gave the dinosaurs a really bad day, and caused the Vikings to name Greenland 'Green Land' when it was (wait for it....) green? Yes, it has in the past and it will again. Should we take better care of the planet and use twisty light bulbs and ride bicycles more often? Sure. But I don't see how bankrupting those that work for a living with mandates, higher taxes, and nonsense laws will help.

Have Ancient Aliens/Time Travelers/Superior Race/what-have-you been here? Probably. Given the set of ancient remnants that are found world wide and the tales of such beings that go back into the dawn of our civilization, it is a reasonable explanation and actually answers more problems than it raises instead of more mundane explanations that sometimes end up being even more fanciful. Do I think 'they' are here now and doing nefarious things to make our lives more complicated? Why not, that would explain 'reality TV' and crap like that.

Yeah, our own government killed thousands of It's own people to gain power and go to war by misleading, lying, murdering, etc. etc.!

Please tell me you're being sarcastic.

Where's the data that supports the conclusion that a steel core high rise pancakes at one speed 'naturally' and at another 'with help'?
Next up on MythBusters: Repeatedly flying planes into towers to see how they collapse.

(Scale models obviously, their budget doesn't cover this sorta thing.)

The 'cut' beams that I've seen in the reports looked like cold steel structural fractures that also happens when gymnasium roof trusses come down due to an overload of snow and ice. And those I've seen.

But again.

Nothing. Anybody. Can say will change anybody's mind.

People will believe what they want to believe.

Forever.

George W. Bush setted up the whole scenario to get oil from the Arabian countries or how ever they are called. You should definitely watch The Illuminati.
