What do you get the person who has everything?

If that’s the question on your mind this Christmas then a group of philanthropic designers have a solution for you: a box of nothing.

You Need Nothing are selling boxes containing ‘nothing’ – an unremarkable cinder block in white or black – for between 34 and 134 euros (£27-£106).

The designers, who say all proceeds will go to Oxfam, say the gift is designed to remind the recipient that they have everything they need.

‘You have everything. you need nothing,’ reads the youneednothing.com website.

And while some will be far from convinced by the stunt, the 34 euro model has, incredibly, already sold out.

I love where it says it's already been sold out. Some people too busy to go to the supermarket and ask them if they have an empty box? lol
